About Little Acorn Academy in Cedar Park
We are a Frog Street© Curriculum-based preschool in Cedar Park, Texas. We care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years and provide a range of age-appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready to join Kindergarten.
Our out-of-school care is also available to children aged 5 - 10 years and provides various activities and field trips to keep children entertained outside of school hours.
Who We Are
Little Acorn Academy got its start in Cedar Park in 2011 by Stacy Ham. We decided to do things a bit differently at Little Acorn Academy by creating a space which fosters early learning in a homely, fun and safe environment, where children from 6 weeks to 10 years can explore the world around them.
Our community allows us teachers and families to come together to give children the best start in life. Our innovative approach promotes exploration and discovery alongside the development of traditional values such as manners and accountability, as well as emotional intelligence, self-regulation and self-confidence. Above all, we aim to have fun while we learn!
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is based on learning, play and exploration. By blending indoor and outdoor classrooms and environments in a home-away-from-home environment, we are able to create a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn.

Rooms
All of our rooms are split by age and follow a low child-to-teacher ratio, ensuring we can provide individualized care and attention to all children. This is such an important step in their development and, at Little Acorn Academy, we provide the best start to each child’s learning journey.
Nest & Hedgehogs - Infants (6 weeks - 18 months)
In our Nest & Hedgehogs infant rooms at Little Acorn Academy, we provide a nurturing environment for children aged 6 weeks to 18 months. Our open-plan classrooms foster curiosity and growth while ensuring your child's safety and well-being.
We understand the importance of keeping you connected to your child's daily experiences. Through Brightwheel, you'll receive real-time updates, photos, and insights into your child’s activities, allowing you to stay involved in their development no matter where you are.
Our dedicated and passionate teachers are not just caregivers; they're mentors committed to your child's growth and happiness. With personalized care at the forefront of our services, we ensure each child feels supported and cherished.
At Little Acorn Academy, we believe in early exploration and empowerment. Our stroller walks to the park immerse infants in nature, stimulating their senses and fostering an appreciation for the world. Additionally, our Sign Language program, introduced around 7 months of age, promotes early expression and communication skills, building confidence and connection from the start.
Squirrels & Owls - (18 months - 3 years)
In our nurturing Squirrels and Owls rooms, toddlers aged 18 months to 3 years embark on the journey of independence through our specialized potty training program. With our experienced team's guidance, patience, and positivity, this milestone becomes a confident step forward and a great opportunity to encourage self-regulation and independence.
At Little Acorn Academy, we believe that learning should be fun! We have designed our classrooms to be playful and engaging, allowing toddlers to learn explore and make discoveries every day.
Through our daily curriculum, we fuel your toddler's creativity with the use of singing, dancing, arts & crafts, story time and more, fostering a love for learning and self-expression.
We continue to teach American Sign Language to our toddlers, as well as introducing Spanish into our teachings, nurturing the growth of strong communication skills and cultural appreciation.
Bunnies & Raccoons - (3 - 4 years)
At Little Acorn Academy, we prioritize a nurturing, homely atmosphere where learning is not just about textbooks but also about fostering a sense of belonging and joy.
From exploring the wonders of Science and the importance of Early Math and Literacy to expressing creativity through art and music, every day is filled with opportunities for your child to thrive.
As well as teaching children academically, we aim to instill traditional manners and a sense of responsibility in our little learners. By actively participating in classroom jobs and learning the importance of their please’s and thank you’s, children grow to appreciate the feeling of responsibility, work ethic and teamwork amongst their friends.
At Little Acorn Academy, we believe that building strong interpersonal skills is just as important as learning academically. Our commitment to social growth creates an environment where children learn to collaborate, communicate, and form lasting friendships. Every interaction serves as a stepping stone towards a socially confident future.
Cubs - Kindergarten Prep - (4 - 5 years)
At Little Acorn Academy, we pride ourselves on offering a top-notch Kindergarten Readiness Program that mirrors LISD's Pre-K curriculum. This means your child will benefit from a comprehensive education that meets industry standards, setting them up for success as they prepare to enter kindergarten.

Outdoor Space
At Little Acorn Academy, we value the importance of outdoor play. By fostering cooperation and teamwork, while encouraging problem-solving and creativity, outdoor play provides a well-rounded foundation for physical health, social skills, emotional balance, and cognitive growth.
We offer a dedicated outdoor play area to all children within our care which contains a variety of play equipment to promote physical activity. We also teach our little ones gardening skills within our curriculum, allowing them to interact with Mother Nature and socialize with their friends outside of a classroom environment!

Merging Teaching and Childcare
We offer a variety of programs, including preschool for infants and toddlers, preschool, pre-kindergarten and afterschool.
By developing our programs with curriculum experts and childcare specialists, we’ve been able to hone in on what makes early education a success and created a learning program that allows our children to enter school seamlessly.
Our afterschool program creates an enriching and enjoyable experience for children 5 - 10 years old outside of school hours. The learning doesn’t stop, but neither does the fun! With a focus on educational enrichment and homework assistance, we blend education with physical activity and creativity.
As well as our after-school care, our Summer Camp is also open to children up to 10 years old; we take part in various fun and educational activities to keep young minds active and excitement flowing throughout the break. Every week is themed and, with field trips, days out at the park, parties, reading activities and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Mrs. Lynn
Director
Mrs. Lynn has been with Little Acorn Academy since Day 1. As both the center director and primary Pre-K teacher, she is the cornerstone of Little Acorn Academy. She is extremely passionate about all the families and most importantly the children that come through our doors. Her Pre-K program is second to none and she gets compliments every fall from kindergarten teachers who say they are honored to have our students.
Mrs Lynn is a dedicated mother and proud grandma. When she is home with her husband Mrs. Lynn is either working in her expansive vegetable garden, caring for her chickens, cooking or playing with her huge dogs.
Ms. Melanie
Assistant Director
Ms. Melanie joined the team a few years ago after many years managing large veterinary offices. She has incorporated all the skills she learned in those hectic, busy offices to create a well-organized, professional admissions office for us. She absolutely loves the uniqueness of running a preschool program and lets her creativity shine in planning all the special events and lobby decorations that everyone enjoys.
Ms. Melanie adores her son and Fiancé and the three of them love spending time outdoors, caring for their horses, and exploring our great state of Texas on the weekends. She is our in-house fashionista and leopard print and pumpkin spice are life!
Ms. Naomi
Team Lead & Owls Teacher
Ms. Naomi began her childcare career with us several years ago, her enthusiasm and devotion to young children have boosted her into being an integral part of the center. She is THE 2-year-old & potty training guru and loves to do all the fun, silly, messy hands-on activities with her kids!
Ms. Naomi’s personal time is dedicated to her 2 sons, they are her whole world. They enjoy their large extended family and weekend BBQs, as well as playing at all the local playgrounds in the area or relaxing with their 4 dogs.
Ms. Paige W., Administrative Assistant, Afterschool Teacher
Ms. Paige is an extraordinary team member who has grown so much in her years at Little Acorn. She began as a part-time teacher aid, and her dedication and passion for her students and our center have grown her into the amazing teacher she is today. She loves coming up with new and exciting activities for her school-age children, as well as having an enthusiasm for learning the front office operations.
Disney is life and the most enjoyable place on Earth for Ms Paige. She and her family absolutely love Disney World and they go together nearly every year. Her favorite part is the Star Wars area in Hollywood Studios.

Team Lead, Raccoons Teacher
Ms Paige spent her first few years in childcare working at big corporate schools. She is so delighted to have found Little Acorn Academy and is a shining star who is flourishing in our unique teacher-driven environment. Her amazing creativity is always on display in her classroom with the projects her students are always doing exhibited all over.
Outside of class Ms Paige shares her free time with her older twin sisters, 2 cats, and sweet dog. Always staying busy, she loves to do DIY crafting and reading and, when the weather is good, stand-up paddle boarding is her biggest delight.
Ms. Brooklyn, Team Lead, Hedgehogs Teacher
Ms. Brooklyn is one of the most extraordinary toddler teachers we have ever had. She lives for her little friends and is always excited for her day with them, singing, dancing, making projects and being silly. She really delights in incorporating both sign language and her love for Spanish into her classroom.
Away from the school, Ms Brooklyn’s family is everything, spending lots of time with her parents and family. Not being a native to the area, she also loves exploring all the amazing places central Texas has to offer. She and her friends are currently visiting a new taco spot every weekend and rating them to find the absolute best!
Mrs. Stacy, Founder
Mrs. Stacy started Little Acorn Academy in 2011 with the purpose of providing affordable, quality childcare that incorporated old fashion family values, in a fun learning environment that stood out from the cookie-cutter corporate centers in the area. She believes that every staff member will have a voice when planning for their classroom- as well as when center adjustments need to be made- because the school should always be improving; an included, dedicated team will always be the heart and soul of Little Acorn Academy. She has worked hard to transform an old, rundown center into the well-respected, Texas Rising Star-rated, community staple it is today, while still maintaining and implementing her core beliefs.
Today, Mrs. Stacy is now able to stand back and let the amazing team she and Mrs. Lynn have built shine bright. This allows her to spend time with her husband and 3 sons and grow her small farm, after many years of long days and dedicated weekends developing Little Acorn Academy into the school it is today.
